The Southport School (TSS) is an independent day school in Southport, Connecticut. The Southport School is dedicated to creating an environment for students in 2nd through 8th grade with language-based learning differences, like dyslexia, and ADHD, that recognizes individual strengths, promotes independent thinking, develops self-esteem and self-advocacy, and supports a successful transition for continued academic achievement.
The ideal candidate holds a certification in Mathematics, Special Education and/or Elementary Education, or another specific content area. In addition, the candidate must be a good collaborator and creative educator who can engage students and can embrace the strengths, talents, and potential of students with language-based learning differences and ADD.
