Woodinville Montessori School is not a typical school. For the past 40 years we have created a learning environment to support the whole child’s growth and development. The environment is prepared specifically to allow students to explore their surroundings and materials in support of their learning and development. The freedom to explore, choose and learn in a safe place is crucial to toddlers. To guarantee this sense of safety, children are guided to act within the parameters of the three basic ground rules that will serve them for a lifetime: respect of self; respect for others; and respect for the environment. Early Childhood is a critical time for learning, the young child effortlessly soaks up information, forming impressions and habits, which become the basis for future learning and behavior. All students have the opportunity to experience a content rich, hands-on curriculum which provide opportunities to develop fundamental skills, grapple with large concepts, engage their imaginations, and work toward a growing appreciation for the wonders of the universe. In Elementary, students deepen their community consciousness and cultural awareness, along with transitioning from concrete to abstract thinking. In Middle School and High School, students organize and manage themselves, engage in abstract reasoning while they learn to develop the skills necessary to succeed in life. Both campuses of Woodinville Montessori School are conveniently located along the I-405 corridor on Seattle's greater Eastside with the smaller, original campus in Woodinville, and the main campus in Bothell. Woodinville Montessori School is fully accredited through 12th grade by NWAIS and approved by Washington State through 12th grade. Woodinville Montessori School is accredited by AMS for students aged 18 months to 17 years.
