WHEELS was founded by a team of teachers, parents, and students in 2006.  It is a nationally recognized, (NYCDOE) PreK-12, NYC Outward Bound School implementing the EL Education model. We take responsibility for the results of our students and work relentlessly and collaboratively to improve those results. 

The ideal candidate includes an educator that fosters relationships with students and families, holds students to high expectations inside and outside the classroom, and reflects on students’ results as their own results. Aligned with EL Education Principles, this educator will backward plan from engaging, authentic tasks that develop students academically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Finally, this educator will have demonstrated success of collaborating with a team to achieve ambitious goals.

We anticipate several openings across our PreK-12, including all core subjects!
