P.S./I.S. 113 Anthony J. Pranzo in Glendale is a neighborhood school serving grades Pre-K through 8. This school is in its own building. Students at this school generally perform well on test scores, as compared to other schools in the city. The Pre-K has lots of activities for children to explore art, nature, music, dramatic play and more, which are meant to develop a range of skills and promote a child's acceptance of diversity. Teachers ask children questions, invite back-and-forth conversation to develop language skills, mutual respect and promote positive social interactions. Children are encouraged to communicate and learn language skills through books, puppets or blocks. The principal has been leading this school since 2011.
