Our purpose is to prepare our 17,000+ TK-12 students for success in college, career & life. We are Aspire Public Schools - 36 community-based, free public charter schools in CA. Aspire is committed to providing equitable opportunities for our students, families, and teammates. We use an equity lens to examine our policies, practices, and systems at Aspire to strive for all groups to increase access and benefit from our work. In 1998, Aspire's founder, Don Shalvey, opened California's first charter school and the nation's second charter school. Aspire is one of the oldest and largest charter management organizations.
