Damon ISD is a small rural school district located in Damon, TX, within Brazoria County. Located approximately 15 miles South of Needville, TX on Hwy 36, our class sizes average 14 students PER GRADE LEVEL. Small classes and the small district with 14 teachers, allows us to get to know our students as well as our fellow staff members. We operate as family and it has helped us to move out of the IR position former administrators left us in. Salary schedule for the 2022-2023 school year is posted on our website. Beginning teachers with zero years experience start at $56K, and an additional signing stipend of $3500, will be made in two payments of $1750 each at the end of each semester, for a final total of $59,500. Salary steps are $250 per year up to 20 years. The district pays $310 dollars toward an individual health insurance plan through TRS.
