Opening our first school in 2006, our mission is to educate responsible citizen-scholars for success in the college of their choice and a life of active citizenship. Democracy Prep offers authentic civic engagement for scholars to become active citizens, educates all students by welcoming new scholars at all grade levels at the beginning of each year, & we fund all our schools with only public money from the city, state & federal government. Our scholars are among the only African-American and Latino students in the nation learning Korean, and in high school, our students earn a trip to South Korea!
