Fairville Friends School nurtures and creatively educates young children in the Friends tradition. We are looking for a teacher with experience in early childhood education. Bachelor of Arts or Science required. Degree in Education and Early Childhood certification or advanced degree preferred. Candidates must provide proof of full vaccination for COVID-19. Other requirements include: Teaching experience with and love of young children. Patience, compassion, and sense of humor. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Connection to nature and understanding of how to design and implement play-based learning initiatives outdoors and as an extension of the classroom. A broad repertoire of strategies to teach children with diverse learning styles. Strong organizational skills. Excitement about working closely and collaboratively with other staff members. A high level of interest in and willingness to learn about Quaker education.
This is a part-time salaried position for the academic year. We offer a very competitive salary.
