Hayward Collegiate Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school in Hayward, CA. We ensure rigorous academics in every classroom and individualized support for every learner so that every student can thrive in the college of their choice, lead and communicate with confidence. We are a TK-6 school currently serving TK through second grade. Our mission is to prepare Hayward scholars to have agency over their lives. When they leave Hayward Collegiate, they will be hard working, creative, kind, community-minded individuals. This vision can only come to fruition with the support of the leaders, teachers, community members, and families that come together to create this type of environment.

Ideal Candidate

Our team is constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to empower our scholars. Teachers at Hayward Collegiate are builders at heart. Together, we can help scholars build stronger communities - and we’re just getting started. All staff are responsible for creating a welcoming classroom environment for students. Teachers are responsible for creating and executing lesson plans in the classroom, knowing how students are progressing on their learning, and differentiating when a student needs support before mastering a topic. The ideal candidate wants to learn and grow in their craft while helping build a truly magnificent school for the students in Hayward. Our community is a true team. Candidates should want to be part of a team, and ready to help others as well as receive help when needed. It is preferred for candidates to have 2 years experience. A bachelors degree is required for a lead teaching position.
