OVERVIEW
About

Welcome to Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart! We are pleased to invite you to learn more about our extraordinary school and community. We are proud of our legacy of educating, supporting, and guiding young women of Chicago for over 130 years. As a Sacred Heart School, we are truly committed to supporting the needs of the whole child. An education at “The Jo” is unlike any other that a young woman of Chicago can experience. We keep our class sizes small and our exceptional faculty focused on understanding the unique educational needs of each and every student, fostering a passion for excellence in education, service, and faith. And our affordability ensures that an education at the Jo is accessible to all. Our all-girls environment creates a culture that fosters achievement, confidence, and independence. Josephinum is a school where girls are accustomed to having their voices heard and regularly see women holding leadership roles, creating a model for the world young women want and deserve. Our graduates leave the Jo prepared to be the confident, compassionate, fearless leaders that our city—and our world—needs now more than ever. We look forward to welcoming you into our community and thank you for your interest in Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart.
