The Instructional Coaches are supported in this work through collaboration with their professional cohort, weekly supervision and coaching, and ongoing leadership professional development. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities ● Observe, coach, and mentor instructional staff to ensure lessons are relevant, engaging, and rigorous ● Provide consistent support and feedback to teachers, including live coaching and modeling lessons ● Support the lesson planning process and provide weekly feedback to teachers on their lessons ● Support teachers in creating and maintaining a warm and inclusive classroom where students are nurtured and challenged in a caring environment ● Develop teachers in reviewing and analyzing assessment data to ensure academic gaps are addressed and students are making significant academic gains ● Take responsibility for the academic progress of teacher and students and work strategically to overcome obstacles ● Develop and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, teachers, students, families and other community stakeholders, supporting teachers with aligning school and home life and helping to develop teachers’ cultural awareness ● Provide recommendations, support, planning, and delivery for professional development based on the instructional needs of teachers
