South Brooklyn Community High School (SBCHS) is a small transfer school designed for young people who, after initial enrollment in their first year of high school, are having difficulty in succeeding in a traditional high school. The Department of Education in partnership with Good Shepherd Services designed SBCHS to provide access to a quality education with support and services in the area of academic growth and social emotional learning with considerable support and services to students to ensure continued attendance in school. Our vision is to prepare students for post secondary success. With an accelerated credit program, students have the opportunity to earn 18 or more credits a year.
