The candidate must embrace Catholic schools’ evangelizing mission and be willing to work as a member of a team. The candidate is expected to prepare students thoroughly for acceptance into a college preparatory high school. Familiarity with classical education is preferred. The Teacher fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by planning, guiding, and evaluating the learning process of the students in the Catholic school for whom the teacher is responsible within the framework of the school’s philosophy, organization, and curriculum. The ideal applicant should understand how a Catholic worldview permeates the curriculum and instruction, understand the role of the moral imagination to elementary education, and be an intentional disciple of Christ committed to providing a Gospel witness.
