The John Thomas Dye School (JTD) is an independent, co-educational school serving 336 students in Grades K-6 on an 11-acre campus in Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles. Since its founding in 1929, JTD has stayed true to the Mission of our founders, Cathryn and John Dye, to provide a program of academic excellence, one both traditional and dynamic. There are core elements of education that are timeless, and yet the tools and strategies we use to deliver on that education must emulate the world our children will occupy as adults. We also know that we have a responsibility to prepare our children to be contributing members of their community in the future, and as such, we emphasize 21st century skills, character education, and service learning. JTD is committed to a diverse faculty and staff that represents our student body and the greater Los Angeles area.
