Founded in 1930, The Tatnall School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school situated on a pastoral, 110-acre campus in Greenville, Delaware, near Wilmington. As a core part of a dynamic and forward-thinking Learning Services department, the Upper School Learning Specialist will work closely with the US Division Head, the Learning Services Department Chair, the US Director of Student Life, and the Director of Equity, and Community, among others, on all programs related to US student learning profiles. This individual should be familiar with providing academic support for students with learning differences, including the coordination of education/psychological testing, the interpretation of psychological-educational evaluations, IEPs, 504 plans, and any documentation related to ADA compliance. The Learning Specialist will create and maintain student learning plans and will help facilitate extended time requirements for school-based assessments and standardized testing, among other approved reasonable accommodations. Qualifications: A Master’s degree in special education or related field 5+ years experience as a teacher or specialist working with adolescents Demonstrable group facilitation and/or 1-1 teaching experience Excellent oral and written communication skills with competency in Google Suite Demonstrated ability and desire to work collaboratively as part of a team
