National Geographic Student Travel is accepting applications for instructors at our MIT Technology & Innovation Workshop for high school students. Instructors must meet the following requirements:
- Extensive academic and/or work experience with one of the seminars offered during the program: Computing & Big Data, Engineering & Technology, and Storytelling Technology
- Ability to work independently to create a hands-on curriculum that brings your subject matter to life
- Excellent personal leadership skills. This position requires extensive close-up interaction with students; the ability to inspire, lead, mentor, counsel, and set limits are all very important
- Ability to handle multiple ongoing tasks
Applicants must be available to attend an instructor orientation in Putney, Vermont from May 30th - June 2nd, 2024.
National Geographic Student travel will fully cover the cost of all housing, meals, activities, and travel for the duration of the program.

Join National Geographic Explorers on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts to examine the many intersections of technology and exploration, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics. Attend seminars on a range of topics—from remote exploration of space and sea to engineering microscopic robots—and participate in related experiments. Weave your experiences together by creating a capstone project proposal that uses cutting-edge science to help address an important issue in your own community.
