Parkland Preparatory Academy is a therapeutic day school serving students ages 5-22 in the areas of: emotional disability, specific learning disability, autism, speech and language impairment, other health impairment, developmental delay, and other unique circumstances that impact their success in traditional public-school settings. We provide comprehensive educational, social- emotional, and functional programs. Our curriculum aligns with the Illinois Learning Standards and our social/emotional interventions are utilized to meet the individual needs of students, to help them reach their greatest level of self-sufficiency. We have 5 campuses, with locations in: Oak Lawn (K-12), Morton Grove (K-8), Plainfield (K-12), Lake in the Hills (K-5), and Bartlett (K-12), Illinois. In addition, we also offer Parkland Virtual Academy, an individualized remote learning opportunity for high school students. We are approved by ISBE as a virtual therapeutic day school. Our virtual program serves students who have emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, speech and language impairment, school refusals, other health impairments and autism. This is a unique option for those with average academic ability to work through unique situations that may currently prevent them from attending in person.
